In this post I am posting the pictures I submitted to the photographic technology competition under the Technology Student Association (TSA). In this competition I took second place in State. The theme for this event was "Doors'' and at first I thought that this was going to be a difficult subject to photograph, until I took a second to think through the possibilties the list I had of ideas was nearly two pages long, but unfortunatly I was allowed fifteen images. so I decided I would only do local doors that I have grown up around and seen but never noticed. I also wanted to let the door tell the story not adding anything else to enhance the image or creating a false reality. I wanted to take to heart the philosophy that you need to know your subject, focus attention on the subject, and then simpliy the whole image. And I felt that those are three things that I did well. I took the door and made it the focal point and let the door do the rest.
